Our repairs are free of charge, but we invite donations. You can give as much or as little as you wish – or nothing – and some people put money in the pot even if we haven’t successfully repaired the item they brought in. We are very grateful for all the donations that we receive.

We have certain running costs (hall hire, insurance, materials, ingredients and so on) but we don’t pay our repairers and helpers so naturally over the course of time we tend to build up a surplus. Our policy is to pass the funds to deserving local causes and our members agree from time to time who those local charities should be. In the past we have supported the local food bank, Newent in Bloom, the Chill Out youth facility and the Sharing Kitchen among others.
